The Folks at PC PC Perspective have a review up on the ASUS P7P55D-E
“The new USB 3.0 standard runs at 4.8 Gbps (or 600 MB/s) – this is obviously a HUGE jump in performance and has the potential to make external storage a more reasonable high speed solution. Backing up a 2TB hard drive over current USB 2.0 would take about 10 hours or so; with USB 3.0 that could move to as little as an hour.”
Impressive. I want it NOW!

The enTourage eDGe looks like a variation of the Microsoft Courier concept. It incorporates a 9.7” e-Ink screen on the left and a 10.1” 1024 X 600 pixel color touchscreen on the right. The e-ink screen allows input from a stylus to annotate books, choose search words or phrases, or enter handwritten notes in the journal application. The touchscreen to the right works with you fingers, and allows browsing, emailing and instant messaging. There is a virtual keyboard as well as the ability to use an external if so desired. The eDGe also includes a web cam, audio recorder and ability to play mp3’s and videos from it’s onboard 3GB storage, or from an SD card. The eDGe is running Android so the ability to ad apps down the road should be a given. enTourage is claiming a 6 hour battery life, and a user replaceable battery. Check out more at enTourage’s website.

The Q1 is now up and running with Windows 7 on it. I still have some software to install, then I will begin timing boot times and all the rest. If you are interested in how the Q1 performed with Vista or XP Tablet Edition, check out my real world testing of different OS’s HERE.
